The red and the white mountains

A red sunset is warming and lighting a mountain in orange

while snow is cooling and whitening the mountain from the other side of the lake

The two mountains face each other in a vibrant contrast of colors

extending toward infinity where they meet and agree on a hue that is neither red nor white, but a subdued pink

The two mountains seem to be angry with one another, and they indeed are

but it is an anger that wants them to come together, to merge, instead of keeping apart

it is an anger that make them want to collide and come into one another

and dissolve the red in white, and the white in red
