Listen to the signs

Be quick and prompt

To listen to the signs

That life gives you

What you’re still doing wrong

Life hints at you

Not always in a nice, polished manner

But through rough, earthling ways

After all we’re all nearly deaf on this planet

Deaf to everything but thunderbolts

But you, you of all

Have learnt to hear the small alterations in the deafness of silence

You’ve learnt to listen to bird singing and bee humming

And can even distinguish the rustle of leaves in tall trees that catch a lot of wind

Now listen to the melody of your life

Imagine each virtuoso musician in your orchestra

Visualize their instruments

Listen to the tune they are playing

Understand why they’re performing it

Why they’ve chosen this particular pitch

That is breaking your ears tonight
